Antanas Guoga, aka Tony G, poker superstar and entrepreneur, has started multiple charity programs to help the most endangered in the Ukraine war. This includes providing transport and accommodation for the refugees, as well as collecting donations through his crypto poker website, Coinpoker.
Tony G’s charitable foundation fund, A. Guogos Paramos, has already paired up with the Gediminas Legion Charity from Lithuania, to organize rescue operations for Ukrainian orphans. Since the start of the invasion, they have managed to transport 300 children from Ukraine to Lithuania, Guoga’s home country.
“In this situation, money is very important but not enough: it takes human resources, a lot of trust in each other and courage”, said Guoga. “Unfortunately, it is just the beginning … good luck to all of us who continue on this mission – we hope to bring as many children as we can to the safe land of Lithuania.”
Moreover, Guoga has opened the doors of his TonyResort to refugees. More than 70 people, most of them children, have been accommodated in the hotel.
He also included another one of his big projects, Coinpoker, in humanitarian activities. Coinpoker has organized two charity poker tournaments in March, and all the money collected from the buy-ins was used to help Ukrainians in need. The website’s team contributed themselves to this cause and collected $10,000 altogether.
There’s another way poker players can donate money. Namely, Coinpoker set up a dummy account on the website with the screenname UkraineHelp. All the money sent to this account will be redirected to charity to aid Ukraine in these dark hours for the country.
However, in order to help as many Ukrainians as possible, they will need more funds in the following period. Thus Tony G has set bank and cryptocurrency accounts so anyone can donate as much as they can. You can find these accounts on the following link: https://tonygpoker.com/personal/support-for-ukraine/
