I’m at the Bellagio, and I’m going to play the $5,000 No Limit Hold Em event today. Today, I feel really prepared. I am acclimated, as I have been here a couple days now, and I really want a very good showing, so I am going to try really hard. We’ll see if it works out.
Having a bit of fun so far, not really doing that much…the weather is pretty cold. You can’t really go outside….its not that warm. But, its OK….I’m looking forward to the WPT main event. Its going to be a pretty big field, so it will be very interesting to see how it goes.
Also, I hear that some players are wanting to boycott the WPT. Its not an official boycott, but it’s a boycott because of the contract. Players don’t want their images to be used for free. I can understand their position, but my position is I support the WPT. As I said yesterday, poker should be a hobby. Its not the same as the other sports. The players should feel lucky if they use their images at all. I certainly hope they use my image….the more they use it, the more its worth, I guess. I think players are taking it too seriously, and valuing themselves too much.
Anyway, I hope to do well, and I’m going to report a lot on how I go today on my blog, so check back later.
