Shane Warne Foundation

I will be playing the Joe Hachem & Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament on Monday. This is a very important event and I want everyone that’s been playing at the Crown during the PokerNews Cup to come out and make it even bigger and better than last year. Warnie and I have become friends and I’m really looking forward to contributing to his charity. This tournament is a great thing and the work he does to help children is a very good thing. Poker people have big hearts, I know they will make a big showing for the foundation.

So come on everyone, if you’re still in Australia from the PokerNews Cup, or just arriving for a bit of poker and vacation, or if you live in Australia and play the Crown as a regular, come in, put up the buy-in, and let’s have fun. I will be there. They say each table at the tournament will have a celebrity player and there are world champions there too and maybe some of the winners of the PokerNews Cup will be in the field. It will be a lot of fun and all the money goes to a very good cause. The Shane Warne Foundation.

There’s a rumor out that Warnie and I will be playing at the same table at 888 Poker Open in London on November 3rd, in the same heat. That should be a lot of fun. Will the world’s greatest cricket player learn to ride a bike? Or will I wish I’d learned to play cricket better?

Make sure you play the charity tournament on Monday:

Date: Monday 27 October 2008
Time: 5.30pm for 7.00 pm start
Venue: Crown Poker Room, Level B2, Crown Melbourne
 Dress: Lounge Suit
 Buy in: $1000

1st Prize: $25,000

Come out to make the tournament a success and play me and my friends.
