The Open Face Chinese Poker World Champion will lift the winner’s trophy this December in Prague celebrating the first-ever major OFC title. Born in mid 2000s, the game had to wait 10 years before achieving world-wide recognition.
Although Open Face Chinese quickly gained popularity among the high rollers of the game, according to the most reliable online poker database, the first major live OFC poker tournament took place only in 2013 during the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. The €2,000 + 150 Re-Entry event drew 52 players generating the €135,800 prize pool.
Since then the poker world witnessed a few attempts of bringing the game to the big scene, the most successful of which was the 2013 World Series of Poker $5,000 side event gathering 48 runners. The tournament saw a $225,600 prize pool and none other than Mr. Victor Ramdin taking home the $76,707 first-place prize.

The event featuring two tournaments, the $10,000 High Roller Pineapple and the $1,000 Main Event Pineapple will crown the first World Champion.
